This Privacy Policy explains how Location Recce Schedule Builder (“the App”) handles information when you use our service.

Who we are

The App is a tool for location professionals to create and manage tech recce schedules. For questions, privacy requests, or support, contact us at support@recceschedule.com.

Account support

We do not offer automated password reset yet. If you forget your password, email support@recceschedule.com from the same address you used to register. We will delete your account so you can create a new one. Export your schedules first if you need a backup — schedule data is stored in your browser, not on our servers.

What we store on our servers

When you create an account, we store only:

Your email address
A hashed version of your password (we never store plain-text passwords)
Your display name, if you provide one
Account creation date

We do not store your recce schedule content (locations, photos, itineraries, attendants, etc.) on our servers.

What stays in your browser

All schedule data you create is saved locally in your browser using localStorage. This means:

Your schedules are tied to the browser and device you use
Clearing browser data or switching devices may remove access to your schedules
You should use Export regularly to keep backups of your work

Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in. It is httpOnly, secure in production, and expires after 30 days. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we process your data

To provide access to the App (account authentication)
To protect the service against abuse (rate limiting on login and registration)

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you (your account details)
Request deletion of your account from within the App
Withdraw consent by deleting your account

Deleting your account removes your login credentials from our servers. Schedule data in your browser is not removed automatically — clear your browser’s site data if you want to delete that too.

Data retention

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Server logs may be retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and operations.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Connections use HTTPS in production. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
